Mariupol Port Ship Traffic Control Center
Mariupol Port has a regional center for the regulation of ship traffic in accordance with IMO Resolutions 801 (19) and 857 (20). The center is built on a separate pier and has a visual overview of the entire water area of the port from a height of 25 m.
The CDGS is equipped with the state-of-the-art VOC 5060 radio navigation equipment from the Norwegian company NORCONTROL. It is an integrated system that includes high-resolution radars, automatic identification system (AIS), VHF radio direction finder, radio relay station for communication center with remote station "RASKAT", television video surveillance system, automatic hydrometeorological station for 10 parameters. VHF radios with a digital selective call are provided for communication with the courts using the MMSI number provided. Radar information after computer processing is displayed on 24 "motion displays with recording in the system of synchronous archiving of video and audio signals and the possibility of reproduction on the remote indicator.
In one of the sections of the operator's room at an altitude of 25 m is located the Marine Rescue and Coordination Sub-Center of GMDSB of Marine Area A1, with its further extension to Marine Area A2. Two sections of the hall are occupied by the traffic service. On the first and second floors are the Ports Inspection and Pilot Service.
The configuration of the Mariupol Port CRRS is a regional system for the safety of navigation, which includes the port of Mariupol, the Azovstal port, the fishing port, the ACRS port, as well as access channels with a total length of 15 miles, anchorages, traffic separation zones.
The CRRS operates around the clock and provides control of vessel traffic and radar posting in all weathers in low visibility and ice.
